Worry Monsters

We are in need of Worry Monsters for children on our wards!! 💛 They make the world of difference to worried or anxious youngsters as this mum shared recently:
“Just want to thank you for my daughters worry monster. She is in hospital a lot due to her kidneys. Today she got her worry buddy and she’s beyond happy with him. Thank you.”
Please drop us a line to hello@archie.org if you would like a Worry Monster Pattern, but please also feel free to find or make up your own!
We would like to reassure our supporters and beneficiaries that all Worry Monsters donated to Archie are carefully checked for quality purposes before they are issued to child healthcare / development professionals working with children. Worry Monsters are used as a tool / resource to support children who are anxious; they are not toys.
Please send any Worry Monsters you make to –
The ARCHIE Foundation
Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital
Westburn Road

A HUGE thank you in advance!! 🥰
WE 💛 OUR KNITTERS!
Some notes and tips based on answers to frequently asked Worry Monster questions:
  • Monsters can be knitted, crocheted or sewn as long as they have a zip mouth or a pocket worries can be popped in
  • Patterns are available via the link above but please feel free to use others from internet
  • Worry Monsters can be donated individually, they do not need to be in pairs
  • Our Worry Monsters will be used across North Scotland from Dundee up in Children’s Units and by the Archie Child Bereavement Service team
We have had a huge response to our request so we may not be able to individually thank and reply all donations but we will post some pictures on social media so please follow us on Facebook to keep up to date and rest assured every Monster will make a huge difference for an anxious child.
From all of us THANK YOU for all the support so far 💛💛💛
