• A Lasting Legacy

"When our grandson suddenly became ill and was rushed to hospital, his mum was able to stay with him overnight because of Archie. This meant the world to our family. We want to help other families in the same situation by leaving a gift in our Will."

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Every gift, whatever its size, can make a difference to babies, children and families. You don’t need a large estate to leave a gift to Archie. What matters is choosing to remember a cause or community that matters to you.

Absolutely. We understand that your loved ones come first. Many people choose to provide for their family and friends first, and then leave a gift to a charity they care about from what remains. Even a small percentage of your estate can make a lasting difference.

No. Leaving a gift in your Will is a personal decision, and there is no obligation to tell us.

However, if you are happy to let us know, it gives us the opportunity to thank you and helps us plan for the future. Any information you share will be treated sensitively and confidentially.

Yes. If there is a particular area of Archie’s work that is close to your heart, or a region that our services are provided in that you would like your gift to benefit, you can let us know how you would like your legacy to be used. You can also choose to leave your gift unrestricted, allowing us to direct it wherever the need is greatest at the time.

You can leave:

  • A share or percentage of your estate.
  • A fixed sum of money.
  • A specific item, such as property or a personal possession.

Our Gifts in Wills Guide explains these options in more detail.

Yes. You can change your Will at any time. We understand that circumstances and priorities can change.

No. If you already have a Will, you don’t usually need to make a completely new one. You can ask your solicitor about adding a codicil, which is a legal document used to make a change or addition to an existing Will. Your solicitor can advise on the best option for your circumstances.

We recommend using a solicitor when making or updating your Will. This helps ensure your wishes are clearly recorded and that your Will is legally valid.
