Graham joined as a Trustee in November 2025. He previously worked as a Consultant
Paediatric Anaesthetist in the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, from 2001 to 2023,
having trained in Edinburgh, Leeds and Canada.
Throughout this time he was Lead for Paediatric Pain Management, and was fortunate to
gain funding from Archie for a Specialist Nurse in 2010, for an initial three year term. This
transformed the provision of pain management for children in Grampian, and beyond, and
allowed for the creation of a specialist pain clinic. He was also closely involved in a
number other Archie projects, in the Operating Theatres, and High Dependency Unit
Graham was an active contributor to the Clinical Advisory Committee for six years,
providing clinical input to applications for funding from Archie. This offered a close insight
into the workings of the charity, and the essential nature of its work.
He has also taken part in some high profile fundraising namely the climb of all ‘Archies’ in
2022, and the Coast to Coast cycle from Dumfries to Aberdeen in 2024
