D & E Coaches sees ARCHIE start 2020 off in style with £4k donation

ARCHIE Highland got 2020 off to a flying start thanks to an incredible donation from an Inverness business.

D & E Coaches presented team members with a cheque for £4,000 to help us make the difference for sick children at the Highland Children’s Unit.

The company, the largest private hire operator in the Highlands, made the presentation at an Eden Court Theatre celebration with stars of the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ pantomime,  which D & E sponsored, as it came to an end.

The sponsorship also saw the cast of the show visit the children’s unit and bring a smile to young faces prior to Christmas.

D & E Coaches’ Managing Director Donald Mathieson said:”We have backed ARCHIE Highland in recent years and gave £4,000 last year so we’re more than happy to help again. This follows us taking panto stars to meet the kids at the children’s unit.”

Mary Nimmo, chairwoman of the ARCHIE Highland Fundraising Board, commented: “It’s excellent that such a well-known local employer is again showing such commitment to our cause.”
