The Archie Foundation is proud to partner with NHS Grampian to help deliver the difference at the new Baird Family Hospital in Aberdeen. Works began on the build in January of 2021 with a target completion date of Spring 2024.
We aim to raise £2million to fund the vital finishing touches and additional specialist equipment that will transform this clinically state-of-the-art hospital into a world-class facility. Working in partnership with the NHS and our local community we can together deliver a state-of-the-art facility that will match the world-class Neonatal and Maternity treatment provided by the NHS.

The Baird Family Hospital will bring together a wide range of clinical services in a way never seen before in Scotland and experience tells us that Archie’s support will make the world of difference to the babies and families cared for there. For the first time in NHS Grampian’s history the following services will all be under one roof – maternity, gynaecology, breast screening, and breast surgery services, a centre for reproductive medicine, an operating theatre suite and cutting-edge research & teaching facilities led by the University of Aberdeen.
To date over £900,000 has been raised towards our £2m target. This has already enabled investment towards important environment enhancement works and the purchase of specialist equipment which staff are already using at Aberdeen Neonatal Unit to help save babies’ lives and which will be transferred to the Baird when the facility opens in 2024.
