The Pear Tree Fund for Music 2026 Funding

We are truly grateful for the support of The Pear Tree Fund for Music and delighted that they have chosen to stand alongside us in making the difference for children and families in healthcare across the North of Scotland.

Their contribution will directly support our Therapeutic Music Sessions at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, working with children and young people in relation to their appreciation of music, as well as promoting the benefits of music to health and mental wellbeing.

The aims of our Music Therapy sessions vary greatly from child to child, and can include anything from developing and maintaining communication, alleviating isolation, increasing self-expression, as well as self-confidence/self-esteem, relaxation, improving coordination, increased awareness of others, expressing difficult emotions, increased engagement, and self-empowerment.

We are deeply appreciative of their confidence in our work and their commitment to supporting children’s health and wellbeing while receiving treatment in hospital.
