Head of Fundraising
Kelly joined in October 2024 and is based in Archie HQ at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, although she regularly travels up and down to our Tayside and Highland offices.
Kelly manages Archie’s team of fundraisers in Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness, driving fundraising activity as The Archie Foundation approaches their 25th year as a charity. With over 15 years of third sector experience, Kelly is a proud fundraiser whose day might include chatting with millionaires, pitching sponsorship to corporate organisations, or writing raffle tickets with school children!
“Technically, the first fundraising I ever did was at the age of nine, when I organised a school jumble sale to raise money for the spinal injury unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Although I have since worked in fundraising and development for a wide range of organisations and charities, my ambition has always been to work in child health fundraising. When I saw the role at The Archie Foundation I knew it was my dream job – I am so happy to be here, with my amazing team, and to know we are genuinely making a difference for children and families across Scotland.
My top tips for fundraising are: I always keep my door open – and I speak to strangers!”
