Anne Bone MBE

Anne joined the Archie Foundation in 2019, when Grampian Child Bereavement Network joined forces with the charity. In addition to her trustee role she is also Chair of the Archie Child Bereavement Service Committee.
Anne is a retired social worker with decades of experience in supporting families through very difficult times including leading the “Piper Outreach Team”, a group social workers taken from their normal duties in Aberdeen to deal with the grief-stricken families who lost loved ones in the Piper Alpha disaster in 1988. Anne and some of her peers recognised the need for bespoke support to help children manage the grief of losing a loved one and in 2009 they set up the Grampian Child Bereavement Network.
