NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation 2026 Funding
We’re very excited to announce that NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation have agreed to support Archie’s Child Bereavement Service in the Tayside region.
Funding towards our Part-time Bereavement Coordinator will allow us to continue the vital work we’ve established over the past three years, including the provision of immediate telephone and email support, book gifting to bereaved families, the recruitment and training of volunteer responders, who provide a one-to-one service, visiting bereaved children and their families at home and in their community, free training to professionals, including education, social work, health and voluntary agencies to increase their skills, awareness, and confidence in how to support a bereaved child or young person, and supporting our team of volunteers, to develop local groups, as well as organise activity days to bring bereaved children together, helping them overcome feelings of isolation.
Our Tayside Bereavement Co-ordinator also works alongside our two Archie Bereavement Support Workers, to support all NHS hospitals in the Tayside region, helping to ensure children are supported immediately after a death in the family.
Funding towards Archie’s Child Bereavement Service in Tayside, supports our aim to ensure that every child in the region who loses a loved one has access to the support they need, helping them manage their grief and come to terms with their loss, so they can go on to lead fulfilling lives and achieve their full potential.
We welcome NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation to Team Archie in Tayside, and very much look forward to working together in support of bereaved children across the region.
