Meet Jane, Support & Family Centre Co-ordinator!
We sat down with Jane, our Support and Family Centre Coordinator to ask her about her role at The Archie Foundation and all it entails!
What is your job title?
My job title is “Archie Support & Family Centre Co-Ordinator”.
What do you do at Archie?
I job share with my colleague Tiffeny and together we run the Parents Accommodation within the Children’s Hospital. I provide parents with any support that they might need during their stay in the accommodation and ensure that the facilities within the accommodation are kept up to a high standard. I also make sure that the two vending machines for drinks and snacks within the Parents Media Lounge are kept fully stocked as in the evenings and weekends these are important resources to parents. Tiffeny and I also process any funding applications which come into The Archie Foundation from both parents and professionals.
What is the most fulfilling part about your role?
I think the most fulfilling aspect of my role is making parents feel at home in the parent’s accommodation in any way that I can. Also ensuring that the money which is raised for The Archie Foundation is put to really good use so that children’s lives are improved with the assistance of our grants is very satisfying.
