Marathon March 2024

Throughout March, over 150 men, women and children across the North of Scotland walked a mile a day to fundraise for Archie. They battled wind, rain, sleet and even snow to complete their challenge but that didn’t lower their spirits. All with different reasons for taking part, they came together in the Facebook group to show encouragement and motivation. As well a sharing some snaps on the sunnier days!

Some of our youngest participants were not yet able to walk by themselves but they still joined in with all the fun. Some of them had spent some time in neonatal and so their parents wanted to give back by completing the challenge. Take a look at some of our youngest participants, rocking the Archie brand.

The challenge wasn’t just confined to the North of Scotland either. Some jet setters travelled around, wearing their Archie branding and taking part in different places around the globe. The company TEXO even encouraged their employees to take part so we had some participants in their global offices! And Archie Bear didn’t get left out either. One of the participants who’s daughter had been supported by the Archie Child Bereavement Service took him on all of their walks. Taking pictures of him in different locations.

A number of schools took part from across the regions too, raising money and getting out walking when they could. Special shout out to Ferryden Primary School who raised over £2,000 with each class taking part and raising money for The Archie Foundation. One of their classes will be getting a trip to Jump In as a special thanks and well done for their hard work and support.

From everyone at The Archie Foundation, we’d like to say a huge well done and thank you to all of our 2024 Marchers. As an incredible team, you’ve raised a record breaking £23,290!
