Archie’s Mini Massage Day

On the 10th May, NHS staff from the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH) were pampered with 10 minute massage sessions at Archie’s Mini Massage Day. We, at the Archie Foundation, wanted to thank them for their hard work in supporting the kids in their care. Happy staff makes for happier children.

The lower floor meeting room was transformed into a relaxing massage parlour, with volunteer massage therapists Rachael and Heather kindly donating their services. With ambient music and lighting, the staff really enjoyed their moment of calm on a busy Friday. One staff member commented on the day, explaining “this 10 minutes of massage brightened my day more than you know. Work had been so stressful lately and I was actually motivated to go in and relaxed leaving. Thank you so much!”

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Another staff member exclaiming “the massage was absolutely AMAZING. The best thing that has been provided for me throughout the whole of the pandemic and beyond.”

With feedback like this, it’s no surprise that we’re planning on hosting at least 4 Archie’s Mini Massage Days throughout the course of a year, to thank the NHS staff for all of the hard work they do day in, day out.
