Archie says a sad farewell to Cassie
It’s a sad week this week for all at The Archie Foundation. On Friday, we said goodbye to a huge Archie team player, Cassie, Archie’s Fundraising Manager.
Having been at the charity for almost 3 years, she’s helped us reach record fundraising heights and helped build lifelong relationships with supporters. Within her many achievements include improving and developing the flagship Battle of the Badges event. Originally, a football match between the Fire Service and the Police Force, Cassie increased the teams to include the Ambulance Service and, of course an NHS team too. Children who have been supported by Archie, can take part on the day as a mascot and they always have so much fun.
Cassie has always had the purpose of the charity in the forefront of her work, making sure the events are as valuable as possible for the kids who take part. She truly did finish on a high note in terms of her Archie career, having just managed the first ever Archie Variety Show which was a sell out success! This started from a simple task asked of her “to organise a fundraising event with children at it’s heart”. Dealing with applications, then rehearsals every week, Cassie did it all with an upbeat and infectious energy. And all of her hard work paid off as the event raised an incredible £16,021.35 with all of the seats in the Tivoli being sold out. Well done Cassie!
She will be so missed within the Archie team but we wish her all the luck in the world with her new adventure.
