For the last three years, ARCHIE supporters have donned the familiar beard, red suit and bobble hat to run around Dundee City, raising money for local sick children. In previous years this popular event has been run by Dundee Leisure and Culture, however restrictions mean that sadly this year they aren’t able to hold the event as they have done before.
This year may look a little different, but The ARCHIE Foundation still want to get you up, moving and in the Christmas spirit! By hosting this event virtually it means everyone can get involved!
The ARCHIE Foundation has been working hard through tough times to continue supporting families across the North of Scotland during the pandemic. Your support could mean an emergency grant could be provided to a local family who are struggling due to their child’s unexpected hospital admission, or to help ARCHIE provide the extras to make Christmas in Hospital seem a little less daunting.
We challenge you to run 2/4km or whatever you can, dressed in your BEST homemade Christmas attire, get your friends involved and nominate them to run themselves, or sponsor you! Tag us in your pictures at #ARCHIESantaDash and get involved. There may even be prizes along the way for the best festive gear!
Registration to take part is free, we only ask for you to raise as much sponsorship as you can to support local sick children. Once you register we will email you a link to set up a fundraising page so together we can see how much we can raise.
If you can’t run on 13th December, don’t worry, you can still get involved! Challenge yourself on another December day to clock up your Christmas steps!
